Founded in 1989 as a non-profit economic development organization, Grand Rapids Opportunities for Women (GROW)  provides all promising entrepreneurs regardless of race, ethnicity, income, gender, age, or education with opportunities to develop the skills and acquire the knowledge they need to achieve economic independence through self-employment.

Whether you’re new to the world and language of running a business, are working to keep your start-up business viable, or your established business relevant in today’s economy, GROW’s programs can meet your needs.

GROW offers services in three key areas:  Entrepreneurial Training, Business Counseling, and Networking.

GROW's curriculum and free business counseling not only helps you to evaluate your readiness to own a business and the feasibility of your business idea, it covers all you need to know to get your business started and to keep it running during the first few years of its existence. In addition GROW offers continuing business education and networking opportunities to assist your business toward on profitability, new markets, and operational expansion. GROW is one of the only organizations in the West Michigan area offering Individual Development Accounts (IDA) for qualified small business owners.
